This painting carries a double meaning for me.

I started it at a time when I was deeply missing my homeland. To me, this woman became a symbol of Ukraine - beautiful, strong, resilient, and independent. She hides her face, as if hiding her pain, carrying burdens that are not always visible to the world.

But the more I painted, the more her meaning expanded. She stopped being only a symbol of my country and became a reflection of womanhood itself.

I look at the women in my life and see that same strength. I see courage, grace, resilience, tenderness, and the ability to keep moving forward even through difficult times. I admire them deeply.

So today, I dedicate this painting to all women.
