Step One: Sizing
If you’re thinking about artwork for a particular space, you’re welcome to email me with any size ideas you have. I can help you choose from standard canvas sizes or determine whether a custom piece might be a better fit. And if you’re not sure about sizing yet, simply sharing the wall or furniture dimensions is enough for me to suggest options that would feel balanced in the space.Step Two: Inspiration
It’s always helpful to know which of my past paintings resonate with you. I’ll reference those pieces for overall composition as I work, while creating something completely original. If you have specific textiles, paint colors, or other details in your home you’d like me to draw from, photos of the space or those elements are very helpful as well.Step Three: Quote Approval & Deposit
After we’ve finalized the size, I’ll share pricing and a standard timeline for completion. If everything looks good, I’ll send over a formal quote along with a request for a 50% deposit to begin. Commissions under $1,500 are requested to be paid in full.Step Four: Progress Photos
When the painting is at a good stage for feedback, I’ll send progress photos for your review. From there, we can make any final adjustments before framing. If the frame color hasn’t been decided, this is a great time to choose an option that best suits the artwork and your space.
