Welcome
I’m Yaryna Aleksiichuk, a Ukrainian-born artist whose work is deeply rooted in the memories and landscapes of my homeland. Now based in California, I draw inspiration from the contrast between past and present, weaving emotional narratives through color and form. With 13 years of experience in interior design, I’ve developed an intuitive sense of harmony, treating color not just as pigment, but as a language for communicating warmth, nostalgia, and inner stillness.
My process begins with the exploration of shape. I create multiple sketches from the memories I hold in my mind, translating them onto paper before bringing them to life with acrylics. Through layered imagery, I build depth - both visually and emotionally - allowing each piece to unfold slowly.
Living in California brought a new light into my creative life. The warmth, openness, and natural rhythm of this place awakened a muse within me rooted in gratitude, renewal, and joy. Surrounded by sun and space, I found myself painting not only from memory, but from a place of happiness and hope.
There is a great deal of pain in the world, but I’ve learned how to turn pain into beauty. My art is a way of holding onto Ukraine - its peace, its tenderness, its soul - and sharing it with others. I hope my paintings offer comfort, spark feelings, and remind viewers that beauty can exist even in the hardest moments.
